Božava je najrazvijenije turističko naselje Dugog otoka smješteno na sjeveroistočnoj obali otoka u zadarskom arhipelagu. Okružena je gustom borovom šumom a nedaleko se nalazi poznata plaža Saharun koja slovi kao jedna od najljepših pješčanih plaža na Jadranu.
Božava se odlikuje čistim morem i zanimljivim uvalama, zbog čega je i
često odredište nautičara. Luka je zaštićena sa lukobranom a na raspolaganju su tekuća voda i struja. U mjestu se nalaze dvije prodavaonice
mješovite robe, restorani, kafići, slastičarnice, ambulanta, pošta i suvenirnica u sklopu hotelskog naselja.
Što se tiče povezanosti u prometu, Božava je s ostalim mjestima na otoku povezana uređenom otočkom cestom na kojoj prometuje redovna autobusna linija skupa sa trajektnim pristaništem u mjestu Brbinj. Postoji i direktna veza jednom dnevno iz Zadra s katamaranom "Paula" ili "Olea". Benzinska postaja, kojom se koriste i nautičari, postoji u mjestu Zaglav koji se nalazi nekih 33 km južno od Božave.
Božava is the most developed tourist village on the Dugi Otok island, situated on the northeast coast of the island in the Zadar archipelago. It is surrounded by a thick pine forest and not far from the famous Saharun beach which is considered to be one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the Adriatic Coast.
Božava is characterized by crystal clear sea and interesting bays, which makes it a frequent destination for sailors and yachtsmen. The port is protected by a breakwater shield and there is running water and electricity available for boats and yachts. In the village there are two grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, ice-cream parlours , a post office and a gift shop within the hotel complex.
As for the traffic connection, Božava is well connected with other villages on the island thanks to a developed island road which also runs a regular bus line along with the ferry port in Brbinj where you can take your car to Zadar and back. There is a direct connection once a day from Zadar to Božava by catamaran "Paula" or "Olea". A petrol station, which is also used by yachtsmen, is available in Zaglav, a village located some 33 km south from Božava.
